Fundraising Opportunities

Philosophy

Tuition at Providence Christian Academy does not cover the costs of running the school.  To keep the school as affordable as possible, the school actively solicits donations from like-minded individuals and organizations.  The school is also supported by a limited number of fund-raisers.  PCA has a deliberate strategy of fewer fund-raisers so as to take up less parental resources.  The Auction is the major parent-run fund-raiser for the year.

Donations

Providence Christian Academy is a 501c3 non-profit organization. You may send donations to:

Providence Christian Academy
Attn: Development
5293 South Lindbergh Blvd.
St. Louis, MO 63126

There are many kinds of gifts you might consider giving to PCA, these include:

General Gifts
A general gift is used to meet the most pressing needs and priorities of Providence Christian Academy.  General gifts are useful because of their flexibility.

Monthly Giving
Monthly giving keeps us in your thoughts and prayers.

Designated Gifts
Donors may specify a use for their donation, such as student tuition assistance, a particular academic or athletic program, equipment acquisition, etc.

Matching Gifts
Individual cash gifts may be matched by an employer's matching gift program.  Many employers have a matching gift program.  Providence Christian Academy will be happy to work with your employer to set up a program.

Auction

The PCA auction is an exciting tradition and is the single largest fund-raising event of the year. You never know what you might see at the auction: trips to Vail, purebred puppies, a brand new Chevy! The 2008 Auction will be held at Two Hearts Banquet Center on February 15th.  Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $25.  We welcome donations of goods and services to this much-anticipated event. Visit the auction page for more information and item previews.

March to the Arch

For the past three years, PCA students have participated in a walk-a-thon fundraiser from St. Louis Union Station to the Arch. This "March to the Arch" is a celebration for the students after weeks of soliciting donations from sponsors. Participating in this event allows students an opportunity to contribute to the general fund of the school.

During the walk, older students take on the responsibility of watching over younger students, allowing them to get to know one another and to be responsible for caring for one another. Throughout the rest of the year, these students have a special bond; the older student continuing to ‘look out’ for the younger one. The ‘March’ itself is a fun time of getting to know one another, students and parents alike. Parent participation is high and rewarding. This past year the "March to the Arch" was featured on a local news broadcast, providing a very brief moment of fame.

Schnucks Cards

Schnucks grocery stores have provided an easy way to help the school.  Pick up a card at the PCA office and present it at the check-out line each time you shop at Schnucks. A perecentage of your purchase will be donated to the school.

Travel Website

PCA has its own travel website.  Proceeds are used to support the school.  At the site you can sign up for a weekly "deals and steals" newsletter and get travel deals delivered to your inbox every week.  Please consider using it the next time you are planning a trip!
