The Logo of Providence Classical Christian Academy

Our logo (new as of February, 2010) is intended to capture and signify the essence of our school; consequently, each element has meaning.
Central in our logo is the red shield bearing a key and quill. Reminiscent of a medieval crest, this reminds us of our western heritage, and proudly proclaims our core values.
First, the key, which opens the doors of truth, is constructed of two parts. Its bow contains three interlocking circles which signify the Trinity, the source of all. Its blade contains Christ's cross, the one and only way we can access God and His riches.
Underneath the key, and subservient to it, rests a quill. The pen is a scholar's tool, and the mightiest weapon ever created. This pen symbolizes our desire for each student to become strong defenders of truth, eloquent creators of beauty, and tireless pursuers of goodness.
Surrounding this crest is a blue circle which bears our school's name. The color blue is associated with the Holy Spirit, who surrounds and protects our institution at all times; the word "Providence" has intentionally been emphasized to signify our constant reliance on God's guidance; and finally, the subtle hashing reminds us of Christ's crown of thorns, but also of the Laurel wreath worn by ancient Greek victors.
Behind everything, stands a golden cross. Clearly this represents the centrality of Christ in our school. Whatever good we accomplish, whatever good we recieve, it all comes from the mercy of Christ our Lord and Savior.
